We have been very proud to have worked with Ian Robinson, who was Head of Rugby at the Merchant Taylors' School, Liverpool, on a number of school trips in the past. Ian's death was a very tragic accident. We were fortunate enough to have known Ian and to have worked with him since the early 1990's.
He was a superb teacher and leader of young people, well respected by everyone who knew him and who worked with him. He cared hugely about his pupils and he put a great deal of thought and effort into creating school trips that were both educational and attractive to his charges. He knew that travel was a great broadener of minds and that its challenges would make his pupils better citizens of this world.
Ian Robinson loved sport and loved life. Our thoughts are with his family and all those at the Merchant Taylors' School. We have all lost a great friend, a great teacher and an excellent tour manager.
